Private Instruction
Private instruction allows for one-on-one interaction between the student and teacher. My lessons are tailored to the student’s specific learning pace, style, interests, and goals. Whether you’re looking to learn how to play your favorite song, develop a personal art style, or express yourself through a new creative medium.

Why Choose Me as Your Private Music Instructor?
Educational Background & Experience
I hold a Bachelor's in Music Education, which gives me a strong foundation in both music theory and pedagogy.
As a freelance fine artist, I have years of experience in various mediums, including painting, drawing, mixed media, and digital software.
I have taught students of all ages and skill levels, from children as young as four to adult learners in their eighties, ensuring that lessons are engaging and accessible for everyone.
Over the last fifteen years I’ve been teaching privately, I have developed effective teaching methods that cater to various learning styles and skill sets, making learning enjoyable and productive.
Customized Lessons for Individual Progress
Each student is different, which is why I create customized lesson plans that are tailored to your personal interests and goals. This begins with establishing your interests and goals.
Building Confidence & Skill
My goal is not only to teach life long skills but to also build your confidence. As we work together, I encourage you to explore your creativity and develop a deeper connection with your medium of choice.
I believe in creating a positive, supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and growing as an artist.
Flexible Scheduling & Location
I offer two location options to accommodate busy lifestyles, in-person lessons in my home studio in Smyrna or online sessions.
I offer semester-long schedules with monthly payments, making lessons more accessible and flexible while also providing structure and consistency for long-term growth. This includes the typical spring and fall weekly breaks so as not to interfere with family travel (follows Cobb County School breaks).
A Comfortable, Relaxed Atmosphere
My home-based studio provides a comfortable, non-intimidating space for learning. The presence of my daughter adds to the family-friendly vibe, but she’ll remain respectfully in the background so that lessons remain productive and enjoyable.
If you have any concerns, I always strive to maintain an environment where you can feel at ease—whether you're here for an art lesson, a music lesson, or just need to adjust to the space.
